Located in the south east of Cambodia, Kep National Park offers one of the only hiking and national park experiences in the country that doesn’t require a guide. The lush mountain ranges offer spectacular scenery and views of Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island and Cambodia’s own Bokor Ranges.
Preah Monivong, also known as Bokor National Park, located just outside of Kampot town is a beautiful natural park with a rich with history and culture. Although it is possible to hike through the national park itself, most visitors are keen to explore the many treasures of Bokor National Park. An easy day trip from Kampot, Bokor National Park Cambodia is easily one of the best Kampot attractions.
Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park is one of our favourite places in Vietnam. A stunningly beautiful national park with limestone karst mountains covered in forest, tropical landscapes, underground caves and rivers and the Phong Nha Botanical Garden, you could, and we did, spend days wandering through the region. The good news is, you do not need a guide if you’re able to ride a bicycle or motorbike and access the National Park on your own.
